The tools
WhatsInMyFile offers free tools that run in your browser to inspect and clean text and image files. We may change, add or remove tools at any time.
What results mean
A report shows what we could find inside a file. It can't tell who wrote a text or prove how an image was made, and a clean result doesn't mean nothing was ever there. Don't rely on a report alone for legal, academic or employment decisions.
Using the site fairly
Use the tools lawfully. Don't use them to strip copyright or attribution information from other people's work, or to pass off content in a way that misleads people. Don't try to disrupt or overload the site.
Your files
Your files stay yours and stay on your device. We never receive them.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are, without guarantees of accuracy or availability.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you're a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
